Letter "A"This week we began our alphabet unit. We thought that the letter "A" would be a great place to start! :) We learned that the big "A" was shaped like a tent with a line crossing through the middle. Then we printed apples and dotted "ants" on our big "A"'s (see above). We also learned some interesting words that began with A: amazing, astronaut, angry, Anwyn and Alice. We learned the song "The Ants Go Marching" and acted it out with our fingers and our bodies. We also picked apples from the apple tree on the front lawn of our school on Friday and made homemade applesauce that we ate at lunch. Our applesauce consisted of apples, cinnamon and brown sugar; most liked it! We continue to have great success with "taste it tries" of all new foods coming in for snack and lunch. Kiwi, shepard's pie and sweet potato fries were some new foods tasted this week.
