THANKSGIVING WEEK AND "I" WEEK
Preschool had a very busy week and a half. We learned all about the letter I; insects, ice cream, imagination, and interesting ideas. At the end of the "I" week we used our imagination to create an insect "scene" using celery, peanut butter, cream cheese, apples, bananas, graham crackers, raisins and craisins, Nobody left hungry! We then spent two days talking about Thanksgiving; being thankful for special people at school and home that help us, sharing favorite food ideas and special traditions. |
Winter is upon us....
I think old man winter is finally here to stay...and we were all caught by surprise last week. Please be sure to pack snow pants, a warm jacket, 2 pairs of mittens and socks, a warm hat (that stays on your child's head) and a change of shoes/sneakers for inside. It's quite a process to get 14 dressed simultaneously as you can just imagine... YIKES! We actually did quite well the other morning and most children are working hard to be self sufficient. Getting undressed seems to be as much of a challenge, if not more so: mittens and hats are being misplaced, putting shoes back on is more difficult than getting them off for many and using the hooks to keep jackets and snow pants off the floor is often overlooked. We will work hard on establishing a good routine these next few days. Please be sure to label as many items as possible with your child's name or initials. We will do our best to be sure that your child's clothing does not get into someone else's cubby! Although, if it does happen, let us know and we will do our best to locate it. Thanks!
